Parks & Nature Connection – a monthly series learning about Florida’s awesome flora and fauna!

What I love about my job as a Recreation Program Specialist is connecting people to nature.
Parks & Nature Connection is an engaging program geared for adults to help them learn about Florida’s amazing ecosystems. It’s also a great way to meet new people that love being in nature and of course, make new friends.
It’s cool to be a Nature Geek!
Friday, August 19 kicks off the program with a visual presentation exploring basic bird biology, common feeder birds, and an introduction to birding and photography.

The program’s subject and location change each month and that’s a perfect way for residents of Citrus County and those that visit to engage in learning about Florida’s amazing flora and fauna.
Upcoming Programs:
September 16 – Mangroves
October 21 – Lichen
November 18- Manatee Awareness
December 16 – Florida’s Oaks and Pines
January 20 – Florida Snakes
Registration is required by visiting: CC Parks and Rec (activecommunities.com) and selecting the Activities.
Hope to see you at one of the programs!
Be safe in your travels!
