What a great way to learn about wildflowers than having a week dedicated to just wildflowers!
Beginning May 1 and lasting till May 7, it’s time to get outdoors and discover the hundreds of different species of wildflowers in your area.
May is the perfect time to see wildflowers in their natural environment. New blooms are bursting right now and bringing color to the forest and here are some ideas to help get you started.
- If you don’t have iNaturalist or Seek, download the apps. This will help you identify all those awesome wildflowers.
- Find a trail!

Oh, no!
I enjoyed them LAST week! Jumped the gun. Now I’ll have to get out again next week and enjoy some more. Tough work but someone has to do it.
Thanks for the heads up. Who knew wildflowers had their own week?
