What’s blooming over at Chassahowitzka WMA… skyblue lupine! Just one of many of my favorite sandhill flowering plants.

The first day of Spring is March 19th, and it seems everything, in nature, is either late or early.
I first observed them in the early weeks of February just reaching out of the ground and blooming in the last two weeks of February.
